PS3 games

I know we have a list of the best DS games by category, is there one for PS3?
I generally like RPGs (Final Fantasy, Oblivion, etc), so what would you guys recommend?

I'm not a big fan of RPGs, but for good PS3 games.-Ratchet and Clank Series
-Uncharted Series
-God of War Remake and God of War III Soon.
-Not sure about anymore...

Console based rpg's are getting hard to find, and I don't really follow them... I'm more into beat them ups (bayonetta, ninja gaiden, etc) racing (ridge racer 7 :) ) and fps (too many to count) but resident evil 5 is good for a run :)...is oblivion an rpg?

It's an open ended rpg... tis good... but yeah i've noticed that, games are getting harder and harder to find as far as rpgs are concerned

If you consider choices,ability to pick up the class that you want to play as,and skills and weapon repair,then Oblivion is an RPG because you can Role-Play your character.

Dragon Age is one.

Yeah I went on google and found a list of games I wanna go check out

fallout 3, but don't expect it to be a quality port though.

well you say final fantasy so how about XIII? or star ocean the last hope i hear they may have a sony release

I'm not sure whether FF XIII an amazing RPG or a great FF.I just didn't feel that 'sense of discovery and exploration' like i can get in FFXII or the other RPG like Fallout 3 or Oblivion.Plus,the ending lacks that 'sense of acomplishment'.
Like God of War 3,FF XIII didn't live up to the review score predictions.(most websites even gave FF XIII below 9!that's not FF standard(at least for main series)...at least God of War 3 gets 9+ from most sites...God of war 3 is still ranked among the defining title of PS3 but FFXIII is just unworthy.It's not even the best FF.
Demon Souls is much more satisfying.All Square Enix really care is polygon counts and textures A.K.A graphics.Hell,they can't even render towns fully.
Best PS3 games so far:Uncharted 2,MGS 4 and God of War 3.
If you like RPG,i doubt PS3 is the platform today.

So what is the system for RPGs? X360 is an FPS console and wii has virtually no rpgs of any description. PS3 is the only remaining option.Of course theres PC but everyone says that doesnt count.

The 360 has a huge RPG game list. More so than the PS3 does (or did, they are actually releasing a few now).At the start of the systems, and up until just recently, the PS3 had very few RPGs, and the 360 had many. It was a very common complaint/comment about the current generation, how Xbox and Sony seemed to have switched places as far as game genre went.Just from my personal Xbox 360 Game Library (RPGS):

Valkyria ChroniclesSure, not all of the Xbox 360s RPGs are exclusive, but many of them still are, or were for a while, or were released quite a while before the PS3 versions.
The PS3 suffered from a lack of RPG titles early on. There is no real denying that.Edit:
I cannot recommend Valkyria Chronicles. It disappointed me a lot. But I do recommend FFXIII, it's a very good game.

w00t? Pc doesn't count? Then what else? Why not try the classics? snes, gba, psx...those are the real deal not the shit they make today and call RPG just to make a name....

no 'one has mentioned Just Cause 2!! This is the best game of PS3. Huge world to explore, 3rd person shooter, lots of fun, you can fly planes, drive cars... Like GTA, but better. 5/5 It is worth $110

Final Fantasy XIII It's sort of sad to think abought how the Playstation 3 lacks shear RPG power. Not like the days of the Playstation 2 I tell ya.
Now a day everyone wonts that FPS trash. But if you can't find any RPGs that you like on the Playstation 3 then try the PSP.
