Premium has extremely slow speeds.

My download speeds for all my downloads have been around 300kb/s considering I bought premium I expect better, can't download games more than 2GB and thats not a lot of choice then. Super Smash Bros Brawl is 7GB and will take about 14 hours at least to download. My download speed is around 2-4mb/s on steam and almost everything else.Why is it so slow?

what country are you located in and are you able to provide a traceroute to our server?

odd that you're in belgium and the traceroute almost starts in dallas.As a premium user, you can use a download accelerator to speed up downloads by downloading multiple parts of the file in parallel. I'll try to look into why the single thread speed is so low though.

Something is wrong here. Are you on a VPN or trying to download from a server? Your traceroute starts from inside Level 3 on equipment that does not respond to ping and the first public hop is in Dallas. The first hop aside which we cannot know the rest should be really fast, distance between you and server according to this traceroute is tiny.

Hi i have a problem also with the speed o bought a 1 month premium because on emuparadise they dont have a lot of wii games, so i decided to buy and test the premium on romulation but i was disappointed because i only get 11kbps of speed, and 7gb xenoblade will finish in 10days, while on emuparadise the speed is good 700kbs down to 450kbps, please fix this problem. I leave here in Saudi Arabia

Could you please post a traceroute?
And it's an idea to use a download manager such as IDM to help speed up your download.

Hi i am using IDM and also tried DAP and Flashget but still the speed is to slow, I tried this morning still no changes, i will post my traceroute later when i am at home,

Same stuff here !! I'm not using any proxies on this site or anything and got crazy slow speeds since i've upgraded to premium. It's really strange actually, If I clear everthing in my browser and restart my pc I get decent speeds initially for the 1st download but everything else gets slow as hell, even outsite your servers! seems like everytime i login to the site and activate a DL my whole connection get restricted!! within and outside the browser, ex: lets say i use a torrent program with an active download, If i started the dl before logging in to the site/dl from it , this dl will still go strong, but if i loggin first/dl .. then start my dl on my torrent program my connection gets restricted. If i download from this site i must wait till its done then reboot before i can do anything else. before premium i had no issues, was restricted @ about 250kbp/s as a regular member but it never restricted my connection in any other ways, i really dont get it.

Don't test with torrents though as it's peer-to-peer and the amount of connections being opened will often stress your router.In the screenshots you're sharing of the speedtest are you running a torrent there as well or is it only a RomU DL?

It must has been an issue between my provider ''my direct ip'' and your servers, it now works great via my proxy at least !! from the screenshots i didnt ran any other connections exept RomU DL, I was only referring @ torrent sw as an example @ an outside connection, Issues affected my whole connection speed '' within the browser and with every other processes requiring [USER=3632474]@net[/USER] connection'', in other words my isp was restricting my whole connection as soon as i were connecting/DL to RomU, I needed to stop all HW connections to my main modem to reset the restriction. So strange, never had those issues before. What really got me confused is how this all started as soon as i became premium, do i now have access to a different ip when downloading as premium ? if so, this IP must be conflicting with my isp for some reason.Chris

No. Same IP. Your user id and a MAC token is passed along to the download server and it looks up your premium status. It's the exact same ip and hostname.

Hi, I am having slow download speeds. I am a premium user. Speeds are around 200 kbps and my internet is 100mbps. I did a speedtest and it was 86mbps.

Gday seph, Im as the others with slow speeds after purchasing a premium account, Also experiencing speeds around the 200-300KB/s mark.i only had just purchased it, so im guessing there is a delay with it activating?

I need you to do as it says in the post just above. If I do not get a traceroute I cannot contact my host with sufficient data to figure it out and then this problem never gets solved.Even without premium membership you should be able to download faster than 200-300 KB/s.

Its all good now, the speed has picked up to normal.. Maybe it was some kind of glitch?

No, it's a regularly occurring issue. I'd highly appreciate if you'd provide me a traceroute next time it happens as well as the time. That will help me make sure the slow downs don't happen in the future.
