Positive Rant? Wat.

All this negativity is getting me down. I want to rant about something good.Christmas has been amazing, had family come to town from all over the world and hang out with us. I just finished a delicious dinner involving Christmas ham and gravy. I'm currently wearing a paper party hat which is really really cool. I just got a Wii and have already softmodded it to run burned games and disc images from a USB hard disk. Currently playing No More Heroes, shit is so cash. I've finished school and have a sweet job as a technician lined up - I start in two weeks working with some incredibly sophisticated gear with some of the best in my country, including weapons technology. I've got no worries and no regrets, a girlfriend that loves me and whom I love, kick-ass friends who I can trust with my life, good family (including a mother who is making a great recovery from cancer) and the world is the mollusc of my choice.tl;dr My life is fucking awesome.

I dont think rants are suppose to be positive.... Although I agree that Christmas is the best!!

Rants by definition are when you go on and on. Which I have done about my awesome life.

While it may be positive, it's far to short to be a real rant.I mean come on, your meant to exaggerate, and you leave a "TR-DR" on it, what the hell, you could explain about all the "goodness" Christmas is all about, I mean did you "read" the dictionary?

First the vicar called the wrong number for the first hymn (OK, anyone can make a mistake, and he corrected himself), then the organ started fighting back (refusing to let certain stops go in and blowing others out). Things continued until the psalm, the vicar called for psalm 98 and half way through stopped and asked why no-one was joining in. Everyone had psalm 96 on their sheet, so the vicar had to be supplied with a sheet from one of the congregation, and we had to start again, although the vicar did remark in his defense that the first line of both was the same. Then came the readings, first reading (old testament) was fine, but no-one stood up to do the new testament reading. After an appeal for volunteers, someone offered and had to read from the vicar's book as they weren't prepared.It later transpired that the vicar was reading from the Christmas Eve service sheet, which had psalm 98 on, and there wasn't supposed to be a new testament reading in today's service, the reading that was done was the Christmas Eve one.

I left out the boring 'detail' stuff because I'm aware that you're a boring pessimist who takes solace in attempting to bring people down. I can just as easily accuse you of attempting to shoot me down simply because you maintain a facade to yourself that your life is bad, that you've been mistreated and that there are no real positives to your "bleak" existence. While I couldn't care less whether your life really is that terrible (although I predict that you'll insist that your life is really as horrible as you delude yourself into believing), the fact remains that my life is really fucking awesome, and nothing you can say will convince me otherwise - which was the point of this topic.The sub-point was to bait people to try killing my cosmic groove of good karma. It's selfish to think that just because you aren't happy, nobody else deserves to be happy, so why try and drag them down?It's not about bragging and it's not about sowing envy; Suis has made that quite clear through the upbeat tone of his posts. And I admit my life is not as awesome as yours. Though I am somewhat happy with my career and the jewgolds I earn from my job, I just wish I had something more fulfilling.
