insanecrazy07Depends on what it is. The shiny Gyarados at the Lake of Rage is certainly legal, and legit.
A shiny Mew is literally impossible to be legal. I would go as far as to say anything shiny that is event distributed (unless distributed shiny) or unique in game is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to be shiny. (Examples: Arceus, Celebi, Legendary dogs/birds)I highly doubt anyone here has a shiny legendary without using some sort of cheat.
This is the grey area we get when deciding between legit and legal and even between legal and blatantly hacked.Usually when I see a shiny legendary of any kind, I can assume they used a cheating device to get it and almost 100% of the time, it is hacked. Therefore, I would place highly unlikely events (as in the word event, not event pokemon) under the hacked section. It would be placed under legal if the (chained) shiny PID is valid, which is hard to tell even with Legal.exe. HGSS uses the Chained Shiny PID algorithm to validate shinies even if it wasn't chained to begin with.
insanecrazy07Also, I find using Pokesav to hack an Arceus (or anything else for that matter) to be way better than an AR. When you create something on Pokesav, it doesn't scream hack. I'm not a fan of ARed stuff or blatantly hacked crap. It just shows noobness more than anything. If you don't trade or battle, then disregard everything I've said.
insanecrazy07Read the quotes and optionally, the thread that they originated on:If you don't trade or battle, then disregard everything I've said.Although some will stand in front of the event thing and soft reset until they get a shinyits crazy
