Pokemon Rangers:Guardian Signs Freeze issue

So I'm playing Pokemon Rangers:Guardian Signs(as stated in the title) on my DS using wood 1.14 on my R4.
The issue that occasionally comes up is that when I am playing the missions(in the past). The game will sometimes freeze for no apparent reason and it is sometimes quite annoying, especially right after I've just beat a strong boss.Note that this has never happened while I was playing the main game. Only while I am playing the missions in the past(via Celebi)I'm curious if anyone else is getting this issue as well and if there is any known fix for it. It'd be nice, although I can do without. It'll just be a occasional pain.

Use Wood v1.16.It works on it.
