Pokemon Leaf Green Hack

Well, I've always wanted to make my own game, but i never had the right programs.
I'm attempting to hack Pokemon Leaf Green, but just recently i found a few that might make it possible for me to do so.The programs I have so far that WORK are-A-Tack (attack editor)

and
YAPE 0.9 (Yet Another Pokemon Editor)They all work just fine, and I can figure out how to use them for the most part, but I have a few problems.I can't figure out how to change the text at the beginning, like the introduction that tells you about the game, or what Prof. Oak says before you start.
I'd Also like to know how to change the text at the beginning that says "2004 Nintendo etc etc ect".
Along with that, I want to know if there is a program that I dont have that can do those things.Also, I need to know how to change the pokemon cries, or remove them completely.And, with Advance-map, I'd like to know how to add events that are triggered when you talk to a certain person, or if you step on a certain panel.
Say I add a whole new map and I want a certain character to walk up and talk to you as soon as you enter that map.
How exactly would I do that?Also, I'd like to know if there is any program out there that lets me edit the properties of items.
Ex. Say i want a potion to recover 200 HP instead, is there any program that lets me change that?I'm sorry for such a long post, but I'm fairly new to this and I want to do it right the FIRST time.Thanks! ???(I apologize if this is in the wrong section, again)

but, i am not planning on giving up just yet
i started this month or so ago
im trying to completly replace all of the sprites (trainers, pokemon, etc)
so, at the very least im going to have to make 386 different sprites, and back sprites for each one
and thats just for the pokemon, not counting customizing everything else
im not saying that its going to be easy, because i know its not
what i really need is some people willing to help with the project, do their own share etc etc so it doesnt take so long
i had an old team that was helping me, but sadly their words were a bit shallow
well that, and they stole other people's work and claimed it as their own*sigh*
good help is so hard to come by :-\

i was actually already planning on adding mario to one of the TV sets
and i was gonna create some yoshi sprites and add them to a map
AND, i dont know if you'll know who this is or not, i was going to make a NPC sprite to put in the fanclub house
i was going to make Dave and Bleedman from Snafu-comicsDotCom into sprites ^^but, like i said, i wont get very far without a good team :(

Very easy to hack GBA pokemon games and such now, as you just use GUI tools. I assume you got this from that spanish pokemon rom hacking site? I did give it a go 2 years ago, but too much of a hassle. Proper ROM hackers have a much harder job.

yes, as a matter of fact i did get them from "that" Spanish site
its really the only place that had the tools i needed
but, as i said before, some of the programs work properly, others....ehh...not so much
its really a shame that the people over at RHDN are so stuck up :-\
i'd ask for help on this forum, but i dont think anyone would be willing to help
besides, most of the people who are willing to help are about 13 years old and know absolutely nothing about altering any kind of program
and all of the "good" hackers are too stuck up :(

You can't edit Oak's intro unless you use FireRed. >.> It's frustrating because FR won't work on my computer.
