Pointer, please (1st post)

Good morning ..Newbee here :P 1st post. Doing this for my little girl & her DS lite.I am also an older guy, but PC savy ...but, in saying that - I would love a pointer (or points) to getting this N5 to work, as I am a bit lost in reading the tutorials.My question ..what goes on the card, specifically and how.What I did.
downloaded the Mario Kart rom
downloaded theemulator
Opened them in Winrar.
Burned them to the micro card ..then inserted into N5.
Nothing yetThanks for any and all help. :)

You'll find instructions here.No, you don't need an emulator.
The emulator is for PC.
