PETA Targets Mario for Tanooki Abuse

Apparently, PETA think that mario wearing the Tanooki suit encourages people to wear fur.here is the article: http://au.ds.ign.com/articles/121/1212427p1.html#disqus_threadWTF?

It's the PETA, this doesn't surprise me at all. They give a bad name to animal right activists.

wait, what? why would People Eat Tasty Animal do such things?

Until now, I never knew that a tanooki was an actual animal

It's not, it's a thing from Japanese mythology

i dont know if anyone has seen the game they made for this, its frigen disturbing! waaay violent.
as in, the hills, and ground are all coverd with blood, and set in a dark setting. The hell man! PETA is disturbed! And really stupid! Dont they listen to themselves? i mean really- tanooki suit is wrong? LOL idiots

So, by their logic, Blue Shell Mario encourages people to walk around wearing turtle shells, Frog Mario encourages people to wear frog skins, and Bee Mario makes people wear dead bees?

i played that game (on the PETA site )result: scared for life

Best thing PETA could do to help animals is throw themselves under an express train.

I... Kinda want to play that. And I'm starting to think that Peta isn't a serious organisation. Are they trying to be funny or something?

http://www.petakillsanimals.com/I wouldn't call them an animal rights group at least.

reminds me of what happened when a PETA supporter visited the sanctuary where my lionesses live. When she saw them, she said it was cruel to keep them alive and told the African caring for them that he should put them down. He looked her in the eye and replied 'Madam, would you kill a disabled human because it is cruel to keep them alive?' She had no answer.

The thing is that they should be lucky that it is in video games and not teaching the kids that it is okay to do that in real life. Really, if it was a problem... why did GAIA and WWF not a thing... oh that is right... what is the problem? It is not like that you kill a tanooki in the game a real one dies because of it.

I came.

the game is fun :D

The funny thing is that they are now claiming that is was a joke :/

PETA deserves to be treated this way....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFSMYhI59MU
