I click on a download link, and it comes out"operation aborted"Even some of the forums I can't enter! Was it because I showed somone a link to a forum topic I made, or is it somthing else far more serios...all other sites work.

No idea, what browser are you using?

internet explorer-most recent...It's only this site that is affected-i thought prehaps I got a download ban because I shared a FORUM link with friend to help me with a problem, long story...I thought maybe the fbi are shutting me down or somthing-i had to get a friend to read your reply originally that is how bad it is-first time somthing like this is happening...If it is the download ban is it just 24 hours-just need to know, if I'm locked out longer I know I'm doomed :(BTW, it would show up (the error) like
"internet explorer can't open (show's current adress)
operation aborted"and then the half loaded page will disappear leaving me the your not connected screen, even though I can surf other sites...without troubles (including other rom sites)

it's not a ban, it's internet explorer being stupid. Get a real browser such as firefox.

that's nice...but seriosly it shouldn't be doing that-it's was only this site that I have encountered this problem.MY MOTHER'S PC IS AFFECTED!I tried it on that one, same proplem, so what ever it is the ip adress it's affecting (wireless router linking the net between mine and my mothers) even though I was logged out on that one it was still giving the error...That's why I'm worried-and I need a valid explanation

Have you tried Firefox? It's a serious question and solution.Internet Explorer acts up sometimes, or a setting somewhere deep gets changed on how it handles certain file types. It's just easier to try out Firefox and see if that solves your problem. It will tell you if the problem is Internet Explorer or if it is your Connection.Go to www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and download it, try it out, and report your findings.

RomUlation isn't guaranteed to work properly in IE. It's such a nightmare to write working code in (bearing in mind the code has to work in proper browsers) due to it's non-compliance with internet standards that we can't make it work properly all the time. We don't test in IE6 anymore, and AFAIK we've not yet tested in IE8. There has recently been a surge in people using IE having issues with our site, and it's no co-incidence that it happened shortly after M$ released a new version of their sorry excuse for a browser. Until they release a version that is fully standards compliant, the issues will continue to occur, and our ability to work around/fix them will be limited. Best thing that can be done is for as many people as possible to abandon IE so its market share falls further and gives M$ the kick up the backside they desperately need.

The common issues deals with emulation. I don't think there is a "Common Site Issues" thread. And even if there was, people wouldn't read it ;)
