New to Zelda, Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest!! Need suggestions!

Well... I hear everyone talks about Zelda, FF and DQ ALL the time but I have never actually played any of them before. I tried Phantom of the Hourglass but the beginning was boring can anyone tell me it gets more exciting?I can get any for ds, ps1, N64, NES, SNES.Which ones would you suggest I play first? (After I finish KH, Pokemon Diamond, Platinum, SS and HG, Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright and the many other games that I play for 5 minutes then play a different game lol)I was thinking about going for FF 7 first but will have to wait to download all 4 discs!

Get ff6 for snes, its one of the best games ever made, just behind ff7.
All of the final fantasies for those systems are great games, the only ones to avoid are the gameboy and gb colour ones.
Dragonquest 9 is probably the best DS game out, thats worth getting.

Just play all of the Zeldas you can get a hold of.
Except the CD-i Zelda games...those are horrible...

They were just about ok when they were released, now they suck.
Seriously I have games from the commodore +/4 that are better.

Agree with this. Ignore the others.You want to go for the best first.Zelda -
Play Link to the Past (SNES/GBA) first, then Ocarina of Time (N64) then Majoras Mask (better than OoT, but you should still play OoT before it).Dragon Quest -

phantom hourglass gets so much better trust me also play spirit tracks every game gets better complete your games

Finally something we both agree on :)I hate all the effin' weeaboo fanboyness FF7 generated :PI'd say start at the very beginning, FF1, but don't get the original NES Version, either get the PSOne (FF Origins Disc or the GBA remake.For Dragon Quest, play th SNES Dragon Warrior 1 & 2 two pack.As for Zelda, play teh mother of all Zelda games, Zelda 1 on the NES. As for Zelda 2, go for it if you want to go hard core!

FFX-2 was only ever "good" with the FFX Fanboys. As for fans of the old skewl series it was pure Graphics Wroredom. Sure it had fancy schmany visuals but it's story was meh. It should have just been labelled FFX Disc 2.
