No kidding? The 360? Since when does Konami particularly metal gear section create games for the xbox 360? But then again Final fantasy is doing it....Hear a metal gear 5 was coming out but never knew it was for the 360. Good news this is

Don't be excited. Kojima has already said that Rising isn't something he's happy with. He's not working on it, nor are any of the people who worked on MGS4. Everyone who worked on that game are working on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - the PSP game that fills in the gap between MGS3 and the original Metal Gear. From what I understand, Rising is a spin-off being developed by other members of Kojima Productions because Konami told them to.

they did make metal gear substance 2-3 on the xbox i guess this is to stop microsoft whining that the xbox 360 wasn't powerful enough for mgs4. nether the less im looking forward to this and will buy it for ps3 because i like metal gear and im quite easliy pleased when it comes to games like that.

A new metal gear game for PSP as well? Thats more good news for me. But I hope it will be much like portable ops, metal gear acid to me failed.

I'm more intrested into MGSPW rather then MGSR, mainly because MGSR is a spin-off.

I've heard that Metal Gear Solid: Rising was a 360 exclusive. I highly doubt it will get released on the PS3, especially if kojima himself isn't working on the game.I've seen and heard much better things of the new PSP version of MGS anyway.

...why can't they make one for the wii?They did for the cube (which was awsome even if it was an enhanched remake of the first with elements from other mgs games)!...Or at least another proper boktai with the weapon smith back (second was the best I reckon, the current on ds...kinda sucked...first konami based game I ever took back!)...I'm aware of some details (like the sun reciever) but...I'm getting off topic again.I kinda hope the new psp one is on UMD, as well as being an all out mgs, unlike portable ops (levels based...kinda boring, prefer to run around to where I like to)

the psp metal gear game looks bad. graphics bad, and shows the true box fetish the snake family has. this 1 vid showed the multiplayer it has and its quite sad really. shows 1 snake going behind a wall and going under a box. another snake comes behind the box and joins in there. then they both walk away under the box a few seconds later.but this game will have a bad multiplayer i think. hell it might not have a multiplayer at all. wont sell good either. games that are coming out will over run this game. modern warfare 2, assassins creed 2, final fantasy 13 (i pray it has some sort of multiplayer), and some more incoming games towards the end of this year and next year

Have you ever played a Metal Gear Solid game before? It's always got humour like that. It's a joke, breaking the fourth wall and poking fun at itself - or didn't you know the whole cardboard box thing has been a running joke with the series since '98? I thought it was pretty hilarious myself. As for it looking bad, are you kidding? It's easily on par with MGS2, which is one hell of an achievement.Regarding the multiplayer, I don't see what could go wrong. One guy distracts the guards, the other three move in and proceed to the next area. Or rooms that require two buttons pressed simultaneously on opposite sides of a laser fence. Have you played MGS4? Remember the bit where you're fighting beside the Rat Squad? Imagine how much more fun that would be if the AI allies were controlled by friends sitting right next to you. Besides, the boss we saw was insanely badass.Regardless, this is Metal Gear Solid. I don't see it not selling well, especially since the entire team behind MGS4 - the game that sold almost half a million copies in Japan within four days and has sold well over three million units worldwide since release - is working on it. It won't sell three million units, sure, but it WILL provide a massive boost to PSP sales and sell a buttload very quickly.

never played the 4th game. i hear its more of a movie then game. plus the guy died i think a few months later after the game ends. and i know its a joke and all but the whole snake family does have box fetishes. i read it somewhere. cant seem to recall though. i played sons ofwly. liberty, snake eater, and twin snakes. i love twin snakes cause you dont have to get all of the bloody dog tags to get something. and its funny in twin snakes. alot of funny things. but i feel bad about killing sniper wolf. even if she was going to kill me by picking my limbs off slowly lol

No, multiplayer sucks. Plus Rat Patrol sucks on TBE

And MGS:R is also coming to PC.I am ,personally, more excited for Peace Walker!

sigh i haven't played mgs4 i played 1,2and 3 and i don have the ps3 i dream of every night please noone ruin mgs4 for me ive herd enough one day ill all night it (one day.......)

No why must xbox take sony games Devil may cry 4 and now metal gear oh come on.

That's what MGS1, 2 and 3 are like. MGS 4 is like those but with more cut scenes because it's a longer game.The amount of fanboys in this topic make me want to kill myself.

Yes it is. Just port it, then compress it. All this crap that MGS4 cannot be run on a 360 is because Kojima felt the need to have uncompressed audio on the disc which means the disc takes up an absurd amount of space. The reason why Rising is coming out on PS3 and 360 is because the 360 version will make more money than the PS3 one. Fact, all games that have come out for both PS3 and 360, the 360 version always sold more.

Except all of those games suck and Ninja Gaiden is not an RPG.Peace Walker looks and sounds good and I assume Rising is going to be good too. It's not like Kojima did absolutely everything to make a game good, his whole team is on Rising, which means it will be good because it has his whole team working on him, minus him. Losing one guy doesn't mean that the whole team forgets how to make a good, fun game.I never understood why people complain about games or series moving from console to console or god forbid complain about multi platform games. Atleast Rising is on the PS3 too. More people get to play it, along with DMC4 and FF. If I remember right, no one complained about FF moving to Sony after the SNES.
