new gaming forum

Funny enough...I just started my own gaming forums on Monday. Im 17 and i know absolutely nothin about how a proper forum should be run. Get a proper domain and proper hosting or no-one will take you seriously. Also get a proper forum, phpBB is complete shit and can be hacked in about 5 minutes.

Yes it is, I've hosted a number of them for people and then had to clean up after they got hacked.SMF is one of the best free ones, however we are starting to have issues with it due to the number of registered users we have. Having said that, if you get as many users as we have, you should be making enough money from advertisements to afford VBulletin.

This may seem funny but there is a huge number of 3 members on the site and anyways I don't have any money to buy from VBull

early days yet, once you get proper space and a proper domain (plus a decent forum program such as SMF) if you start getting reasonable numbers of members (i.e in the hundreds) then you can think about adding some ads to make some money from it.

You could easily get VBulletin by other ways, but there's no point using it unless you're going to host a proper Forum. I think it was the old phpBB that got hacked easily, however I'm sure you can hack the new version.

When you say a "proper forum" What do you mean??? Gaming Ireland isn't :-\
