Need help with mIRC

I can't connect to romulation channel, or any channel :-\ it keeps saying
* Connect retry #15 irc.imperium.ca (6660) (dns pool)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Connection refused)
How so I fix this?? I really want to start using IRC.

Are you using the latest mIRC?

Yeah I think so. mIRC 6.35.

How about your connection?
Have you tried to connect to other channel?
like irchighway..

I can't connect to anything in mIRC. My browser is working fine though.

Try to re-install it.

IRC is down at the moment. No idea when its going to be back up. :(

Try now.

The connect error still keeps coming up :/
