need help installing wood for R4 clone

okay here what I did
1.format my sdhc
2.download wood R4 for clone
3.drag and drop in empty sdhcGot the install loader xxxso than I put the original firmware back into the sdhc
drag and drop the 2 files from R4 clone in there along with the original firmware
clicked on the wood R4 nds file and got the menu but can't do nothing elsecan some please help with a step by step install of wood r4 for clone
do I delete everything from my sdhc??when I download I get 2 files

does the wood R4 supposed to come with a _ds_menu.dat file??
