most expensive pc EVER

Re: most expansive pc EVER
Chris RedfieldGTX 480 uses too much power watts, which I call stupid action.
The guy coulda have bought a HD5970 (which require less energy and is colder and faster than GTX480) to have graphics and a 9800GT for the PhysX, also get I7-980x which have 6 cores at 3.2Ghz
4GB of ram is more than enought, can be a corsair dominator ddr3 at 1333Ghz
And HD at RAID isn't so good, cuz if one corrupt, then everything is flushed in the toilet, seen?
a Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA 7200RPM (firmware 7200.12) 32MB cache blur is good enought and cheap.
Desktop can be a Cooler Master HAF 922.
I assembled one of this for a customer, but this is only my opinion, I think is waste of money at all this computer that the guy there assembled. And is great enought for gaming and can last over 5 years as top ended. But these are the Enthusiasts that love all highed up.
There's no such thing as a "power watt". The watt is a unit of power. There are different types of RAID configurations. RAID 0 is the "bad" RAID.No computer is top of the line for five years without upgrades. Period.

Sorry about power watt, I tried to geet a closer word to translate in English, so let's just say the consumption (I dunno if it's the right word) of the GTX 480 is much bigger than ATI Radeon HD 5970, and if the excuse is CUDA, OpenGL and PhysX, you can cross ATI and Nvidia in Windows 7 it's easy, you dedicate the Nvidia's GPU only to process physX and let the graphics to ATI.
About the RAID I apologise, I must've missunderstand and forgot...
And I forgot to mention, geez bad choice of his about the OS, coulda have got Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Oh geez I typed wrong, I mean 2 years, but I must've hit 5 instead.

Re: most expansive pc EVERThere is absolutely no need to get windows 7 ultimate. Professional will do everything most users need for less money. Also CUDA is not an 'excuse' for more power consumptiion, its a programming interface to a lot of extremely powerful processing units. The power consumption is entirely justified by the capabilities of the chips.

Re: most expansive pc EVEROh by the way. You mean most EXPENSIVE, because EXPANSIVE is an entirely different word

I didn't told that CUDA is responsable fot the more comsumption, I said that if the user is worried to use the ATI cuz it doesn't have Cuda, OpenGL and PhysX, just do a cross with a 9800GT, GT220 or GT240, then you get benefits of both trademarks.
Who says that you need to pay for windows 7 ultimate?
I activated more than 30 PCs for customers with it and they go on microsoft's site to validade and they think it's original.Got it?
Ok again, if the user go with the excuse to not use an ATI Radeon HD 5970 cuz there's not CUDA, OpenGL or PhysX, just do the cross. In Windows 7 it's completelly easy to do.
