Monitor Turns Off But System Is Still Running

Ok, so the problem is not with software but hardware. Good chance that it is a cooling problem, try removing your processor and cleaning out your fans, and apply some new thermal paste on the cpu... also clean your gpu fan.good luck.

I doubt its cpu related if its just loss of video signal.

nope ...no sound...just turns off :P and goes like it's in standby

LOLI had this once. I unplugged everything and let it ''cool down''. After waiting 2 days for it to ''cool down'', I plugged it in again and it was working fine.
