Micro SD Help

Hi,Here is my situation...I have been using my R4 with a 4 GB micro SD card. Everything runs smooth and fine. The other day I put the micro SD card into my USB adapter to update something and my computer will not recognize I plugged anything in. I tried several hundred times in both of my USB ports with no luck. I finally took the SD card out and tried just the USB adapter. That was recognized, but the computer said insert card. After this I tried every possible way to get the card to read, but I can not figure it out.Any idea what could be wrong? Is it a problem with the card, adapter, computer? Please Help.

let me get the story straight before a reply with plausible causes...1. card wouldn't load, with ready, through any USB port.2. when you plug in JUST the adapter/card, it recognizes the adapter, but not the card..3. it says insert card, which it is inserted..questions..1.did you have to use an adapter with the card reader?2. what type of port did you plug the adapter/card into3. have you done any kind of work on your computer, that may require a driver that reads micro SD cards, that could have been removed?(happened to me before...)

I have not done any work to the computer to affect how it would read my card or any USB device. It was working consistently simply putting the card in the USB adapter thing (mine is a T-Flash), then plugging the adapter into any USB port on my laptop.I am confused by your first question. I am not sure what you mean. I am sorry

okay, im sorry, let me explain in easier terms...for example, i'll use mine.my micro SD adapter is as follows:1. a card that makes it the size of a normal SD card(did you have to use one of these with the reader?)2. a silver piece that you plug it into3. a cord that has a USB that goes into the computer.for question 2, i will use another example of my stuff..on the front of my laptop, i got a slot for regular SD cards, which i would use the aforementioned adapter (the one that makes it the size of a normal SD card) and push it in, and it'll read.please tell me anything you may have done that would involve piece like this, and another example of an adapter..a USB stick (like a flash drive) that you plug into the USB port on your computer, that has the micro SD card in it.

Got it sorry. I put the micro SD card inside a flashdrive type thing that goes directly into the USB port on the computer.

hmmm...and since you plugged it into multiple USB ported, i doubt it's a problem with your computer...so that's out for the moment...does the micro SD card still work in your R4?and also, so i have a greater idea of what the issues may be, could you describe to me what the front of your R4 card reads? because i has a problem with mine at one point ( a while ago) where i tried to use a 8GB card, with a R4 with a max size of 2GB, and it Bricked the SD card...but if you had it working before/currently in your R4, it sounds like you may need a new adapter..i've gone through many adapters overtime...

Its an R4 clone and it was purchased with the sd card and usb adapter as one package. I guess I'll have to buy a new adapter. Thanks for the help.

i would actually wait before doing that if i were you...there are others here, way more knowledgeable about this than i am, so don't buy a new one just yet, wait for some other replies...

Well i would recommend getting a new card but no (for now). I had the same problem my computer wouldn't recognise my micro sd adapter with the sd and without. Try leaving it for an hour or so and try it then. If it still doesn't work try plugging it in somwhere else to see if that works, and if it still doesn't work it could be your adapter so try using a different one or get a new one.
