Malaysian Well Educated?
C
well i'm tired of this, our prime minister always say to out sider on how well educated is malaysian, but take it from a malaysian, well educated my butt! if we are so well educated, why cant we follow one simple rule...Queue the *beep* up!.....Malaysian seems to have problem queuing up, no matter where, malaysian cant form a queue like a educated people, instead they all rush in as like a wild beast........as malaysian, i am embarrass by my fellow malaysian...and i'm not lying.....look at the picture that i took...its nothing good to look at....this is just the begining, i'm going to make a whole collection of how Ill educated malaysian is......
S
Most Malaysian people just have no manners. And you know how foreigners are always saying malaysians are friendly and stuff, well I think most of them ARE friendly...only to westerners. Amongst their own fellow Malaysian, meh they can go to hell. Of course there are still Malaysians who are polite and actually Do say 'sorry' if they accidentally bump in to you and stuff, just not that many.
I
I know nothing about Malaysia or Malaysian people.....but how do those pictures show
that they are ill-educated ??
S
Im not sure about pictures. Maybe if it's a video it might be clearer. Cause I've experienced it once or twice when trying to get on a bus. Some retard from the back pushed me away and got on first. Oh and it was raining too. Pretty rude if you ask me.
T
Well, it's not only Malaysian, every kid has that problem :D

anyway, what do the pictures tell us, as there is no description of what exactly were suppose to see.kita anda samua pintar.
A
Bangladeshi are a lot like that as well. However being bred in England, thought me manners.
B
I think the pictures are supposed to show how Malaysians can't queue. See the large crowd of people...no line formed? :P.
Spend some time in Indonesia, and we shall see what the term "uneducated" means.

the people of indonesia are uneducated because you need money to pay for education. therefore if you don't have the money to pay for it then you don't get an education. most people typically get an elementary based education, probably from grades 1-6. it is purpose for the elementary level education is to develop and understand language and writing [knowing how to read and write]. this is also typical in places in india [pakistan, bangladesh and indian] where you need money for an education. that is why when you go to these countries, you see sweat shops and laborers who are children [ages 12+].

ultrathe people of indonesia are uneducated because you need money to pay for education...
Money is required for education in
every country. It's a matter of who's doing the paying: the people or the state (government). While we can say that education is free in the developed countries, the respective states have to pay for the education of their people. (schools need to be built, curriculum development, salaries for teachers, etc. ). Now, if you're United States, Canada, Great Britain and the likes, this is not going to be problem. But if you're a country still paying off billions in debt, just recovering from a financial/ political crisis, and have a population of 220 million it becomes almost impossible.
I don't agree with people having to pay to get an education (i.e. education only for the upper class). But at the same time, this is a fact of life in Indonesia.
Also note that when I say "uneducated" in my last post; I meant more in the context of people not acting like civilized human beings. (a.k.a. not queueing, no manners, no respect, etc. ) rather than not receiving formal education.
(er... don't mean to offend, just pointing out some things)

Education is far from free for your average person in first world countries....
Over-inflated prices for books, uniforms, transport, insurance, extra-curriculur activities etc.
are hitting parents hard in the pocket...I live in Ireland, which is apparantly the 2nd richest country in the world
per wealth per capita....
And I come from a middle class Irish family....but I know my parents have struggled to
pay for my education over the years...
And now as a university student....I'm struggling....(what's new ? ;D)

I see your point. I was speaking from experience living in the US and Canada. I guess the circumstances are different in other countries. Still think education for middle/ lower class not affordable at all.

I'm Indonesian and I get what you're saying :p. Our languages are more similar than different...
on topic: IMO school (or formal education) doesn't guarantee 100% that you will be a civilized person and be successful in life, neither does not going to school guarantee you will fail.
