major issue with PC

ok, from my searching and trying to repair it, i have failed bad at it so im turning to the community for ithere it goes:a few days ago my avast went off saying i was infected with the Bamital-X Virus, i didn't think nothing of it cause my avast blocked it but when it did, im now forced into safe mode to use any explorer program and i want to know if there is a method to remove this without fully formatting the HDD in the PC?any suggestions would be nice on this matter :)
