I will try this Petz Fantasy and a Tamagotchi, seriously? I had one of those when I was seven and it annoyed the hell out of my parents so much my mom smashed it.

don't think so, I can only play it because I have the SCDS2 which bypasses the AP, but before that it was pretty much nada.sorry to get your hopes up.

There's a sidequest in Chrono Trigger where you take a baby monster and send it out to different time periods to train. Then you send it off to the colosseum.

Ok I think we can get off the Tamagotchi and how it died and why we hate it. And I just came back from a holiday and downloaded Monster Rancher Ds and... I admit I was wrong but those missions where you can go out for a walk with your monster are hard and expensive, in game.
