Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, known in Japan as Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku (ラストウィンドウ 真夜ä¸ã®ç´„æŸ?, lit. "Last Window: Midnight Promise"), is an adventure video game developed by Cing and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is the sequel to Hotel Dusk: Room 215, starring protagonist Kyle Hyde and being placed one year after the events of its predecessor. The game has visual and audio styles similar to the first game's. In this game, Kyle Hyde finds himself in the Cape West Apartments, Los Angeles, in 1980. The story of this sequel is separate from the first game's, even though it includes some connections with it.
Gameplay :
The DS is held vertically like a book. Last Window introduces an Ignore feature. This feature allows player to let go the lines of questioning they don't find useful. Ignoring too many lines of questioning, as well as not ignoring enough, may cause an early game over.A new story-based feature is the in-game novel Last Window. Every time a chapter of the game is cleared, a new chapter in the Last Window book is made available. The contents of the book complements the game's story, and they can be influenced by the decisions the player makes.
Oh god, how can I forget this, damnit.
For those who still didn't aware, the game has been
dumped, just a couple of hours ago, I guess. Hopefully, a download link/s will be available soon.
Hell yeah, Professor Layton.
Prepare to be abandoned... for a little while. 8)

Re: Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (E) | September 17th, 2010 *DUMPED*It freezes on Acekard 2i, too. I guess we'll have to wait for a patch. But what I could play is really awesome <3

There's no patch, yet. I guess we'll have to wait a little bit more .-.

a update could come out tomorrow and i need R4 wood firmware v1.13

It's a shame that this had to come out in the same general timeframe as Pokemon Black and White.... Sadly, Pokemon games eclipse all of the other games in terms of the number of people wanting them, so a fix for this game could take a while. On a positive note, I'm glad it's finally out. I've been waiting so long for the sequel to Hotel Dusk, and now it's finally here!

Hmm...just to say, this game works on No$GBA but has some graphic glitches. Sometimes the same picture appears on both touch screens or the 2 screens are swapped. Probably playable but annoying. I'm waiting for a patch as this game is most likely too good to play glitched xD
S
up to chapter 4 now and no more random freezes! also R4 wood firmware v1.13 come out today.

Hotel Dusk has been sitting on my acekard about an hour in for almost a year. I should really finish it. ):

seems to be the problem too with No$Zoomer... anyone know what EX settings should be up?
(I had to toy with the Ex settings on the first game too....)
M
By enabling the EX5 on no$zoomer, the swapped screens issue can be fixed, but it doesn't fix the problem permanently,
still happen sometimes whenever you go into menu. Plus, the game speed will be reduced drastically. It also cause the left/right or bottom/top screen to flicker, and seems there are no available fix for it.
Unlike the previous game, the Opengl renderer is not needed.
