Kingston 4GB Micro SDHC Card
N
I bought a Kingston 4GB Micro SDHC Card and It didn't work right, I reformatted and now it says it has 1.85GB of space all together. Is there a way to get it back to 4GB?
P.S. When I try to Reformat it won't let me go any higher on memory.
L
where did you buy it from?
M
Might be able to return it back to where you bought it from and get a refund or at least an exchange.
P
It was probably just a dud

Got it from Walmart...go figure...They said they could only take unmodified cards back, so I'm either going to fix this one or buy a new one. I wanna try to fix it though because they're like $15.

Man, you should've went to a more electronics-related store, like Best Buy. That's where I bought my 2GB PNY microSD card.

That's what I will probably do but I'm still stuck with this dud 1.85GB Card

The card isn't modded, why won't they exchange it ?
You formatted it, big deal!

If the packaging is opened then it can't be taken back...All of the stores I went to have said the same thing-so I'm careful...But you should have told them it wasn't modded, you tried to refortmat it to fix it, and it didn't...it's too late now me thinks, time wise, But if you really want them to do something-call for the manager-they normally cave in-take someone big and scary and it shall help you even more :)
P
They really should let you return it but oh well. As a last resort you could ask the manager. Then lastly buy a new card. Try best buy or circuit city.

Okay, now I have an issue with my SDHC card. It's the same brand and capacity. My problem is that when I try to connect it to my computer via a USB 2.0 MMC reader, Windows (XP, by the way) makes that sound whenever you plug something in. Then, I get an error message saying that it has malfunctioned. I also tried it with a standard SD adapter and I get the same thing. After that, I connected all of my other storage devices (a PNY 2GB flash drive, a Siren 512MB MP3 player and a PNY 1GB standard SD card). They all work just fine. I think I should also note that the cause of this happening was transferring a large amount of files to the microSD card with a non-high-speed USB port.

Its a dud memory card you cant fix it..... youl have to buy a new one.

I'd try to get a full refund since they sold you a piece of crap :/
For my TTDS, I got an 8GB on sale at Best Buy for $40 (8GB is usually anywhere between $65 - $85)
