that is scary, I have little bugs in my hose (rarely) which look like this, very small, I read that they are apparently attracted to cotton/paper or something, and live in most US households, not dust mites, but similar. I forget the name though.oh, its called silverfish, and looks like this.

They hide in my carpet... they're in the walls.... THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! :O

personuserOkay, so I saw this fly on my powered-off Digital TV. It wasn't flying around and even when I got near it it stayed where it was, doin that crap flies do with their front legs. Anyways, it was an odd fly; It had a golden body, Zig-zags of black on its wings and a STINGER. Because it didn't move much and wasn't flying, I got him easy with a swatter, but I am still wondering, Just what IS this thing? Neither me nor pop have ever seen one before. Perhaps a yello-jacket and a fly had a good time and mated?Anyone know what it is?

Sad to say, even though I'm heavy set bugs, insects & other creepy crawlies creep me out. So much so that I get paralyzed/stunned when I see things like maggots, wrigglers, slugs, leeches, centipedes, spiders & scorpions. And when I see them approaching me, I'd jump so high & scream like a sissy that it's absolutely embarrassing :(

there are 100s of 1000s of unknown insects in a study the best place to find a new species is your garden like i saw a flying arachnid (i think)

Im not scared of insects or anything like that, just spiders, big spiders scare the shit outta me if they touch me. When I say scared I mean heart pounding, can't breathe, ready to crap my pants scared. I don't even know why, I know they can't hurt me.
If they stay a few metres away im fine.

I'm the biggest walking vagina you have ever seen when it comes to spiders. My marksmanship has improved over the years with shoes,books,and bricks.I got a pic of a nasty one that just recently tried to break in the house I'll see if I can get it to pull up.
