First, Let me ask myself this, should i rant about this?I was scheduled today for a job interview at my dream job, i will not say name to not destroy that institution's reputation, but sadly there was a problem... and here were te story goes...Last thursday, December 17, 2009, i was texted by my mother that someone from the said institution called me in our house in the city about a job interview. Its not a joke cause i did applied for a job position at that institution.. and was scheduled on Monday, today at our time, December 21, 2009 at 9am. so, i was early in coming there... about 10 mins... in our time, thats early. So when i talked to the HR, Human resources about my interview, I was so happy, cause i would have a chance at a paying job, and not just any job, my dream job, even if i was a janitor there, i would accept... but sadly, they told me this:Me: Good Morning! I'm here for a scheduled job interview.
HR: Um, what interview? We have no scheduled interview today.
Me: Really? But my mother texted/called me about this interview last thursday, December 17, 2009. Your institution called me at my house number but was unavailable because i was in the province teaching.
HR: What? We didn't called you last thursday. We called you last monday, December 14, 2009. And the scheduled interview was last tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009. We even texted you using Chikka, but you didnt replied
Me: How can that be when your call was answered last thursday, not monday, and you scheduled me today? I didnt even got your text message on my phone.Well, mostly, thats the conversation. They even asked me if i want to apply for the second batch, but the problem is they are only taking the top 3, Including the first batch. Well, i said yes with a heavy heart and just let them keep my cv/resume.So, now i'm here at our local phone company, asking them to trace when the call was made, if i found out they are lying, i would pull out my resume/cv and just walk away... and maybe think bad of that institution.So now, tell me, Am I wrong to rant about this? Well, I'm kinda hurt, not angry...

You don't really feel hurt, i'm thinking more depressed/sad since they didn't seem to actually intentionally harm you... although this is coming from an assumption since the one who had this conversation was you and i got my assumption from your explanation which doesn't exactly portray how it went.
actually, forget what i just said, you have every right to let these out since it should help relieve the burden on your heart.
I can't say pray for the best, or good luck because pushing this sort of motivation on you would hurt a lot more if it didn't help.you have to remember, the HR is/are also people that can forget as much as anyone else.They could be lying, or they could be forgetful. Either way, just try to straighten things out for yourself.
If the time was as you said, record it and bring it in so that they can patch things up but it may end up pushing someone else into your position. Lots to think about in this situation...oh, and there's a possibility it was also your mother's fault since she was the one who texted you about the time and date.

well, the PLDT said it cannot be traced because its just a local call...if it were a long distance call, it can be traced... damn. well, that also occured to me if its my mothers fault...but the problem is the supposed interview they said was tuesday, not monday. so they are lying and cant even agree on the day of the call or something. also, how come the text never reached me? and my phone is on 24/7?my mother called me the same time they receive the call, if its possible to 3 way a phone and a cellphone, they would do that... but anyways, i just vented out my disappointment. and maybe that job is not for me even though its my dream job.

This is why I'm no telemarketer...I suck taking phone calls and noting what is said...same with parents...
This is why I use my mobile for all calls, no one answers the phone at home aymore because of the prank callers.

Well I am annoying like one, but I have learnt methods to deal with them...a mate just pretends to be a druggie and scares them away :P
