Jailbreak IPhone 3G

Hey guys hope someone can help me, im gonna buy an iphone 3g and am wanting to jailbreak it.
Can someone tell me all the steps i need to make before using the quickpwn tool.
Any help would be great.

Just check the Dev-Team blog, but i would suggest going for the 2G iphone if your not going to be using an official carrier because of the recent baseband changes from apple.

It's possible to do a jailbreak without affecting the Baseband as far as I know. Either way I'm sure it'll say something on their site blog.iphone-dev.org. Good Luck ;)

I'm just woundering, what do you mean by jail break? What does that do?

Pretty much exploiting/bypassing the protection or being able to access applications and resources in a software. This being the Touch/Phone since it already has all of these features, but they have protection from being used by regular users. I think there's a Wikipedia page on it, would be under Privilege Escalation.
