jail-breaking/hacking/softmodding/etc. gamecube and ps2

I know it's possible for ps2. Just not sure how. Gamecube I'm not so sure if it's possible. Anyways, how would I go about hacking/softmodding/jailbreaking/etc. either? Also, is this in the right section?

PS2 look into ESR. gamecube isnt quite so straightforward.
