It's the Vampire's Fault!!!

Apparently a Colorado woman drove her SUV into a canal because she saw a "vampire" walking across the road.here's the full story:
http://www.nbc11news.com/home/headlines/97394334.htmlI think that this just another one of those "Twilight" incidents or just another Bimbo looking for her 15 minutes of fame.
And though Colorado State Troopers say they found no evidence of the bloodsucker, it begs the question, could there really be vampires in the Grand Valley? No, there couldn't be (because they don't exist)State Troopers do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in this crash, but say the woman may not have taken certain medications that day.I'm betting that the medications that she didn't take were the sort that prevent forms of psychosis.Regardless, some folks 11 News talked to didn’t think she was too far out claiming she saw a vampire. And think it’s entirely possible they could exist right here in the Grand Valley. Some people will say anything, the thinkings of random bumpkins aren't reliable sources. In the hit Twilight sage and popular HBO series True Blood, vampires are very real creatures who live, walk and work alongside humans in all parts of the country. But could that be the case in real life? No. And do vampires live and work alongside people in the Twilight saga? I thought that they just sparkled and only contributed to society by spawning Internet memes.According to Colorado State Patrol the woman was driving down an unlit dirt road near 20 and K Roads late Sunday night when she put her SUV in reverse and backed into a canal. She told first responders she put the car in reverse because a vampire was chasing her.If the vampire was chasing her, then surely reversing would have brought her closer to it? Unless she was already driving backwards, a distinct possibility given the fact that she was seeing vampires because she hadn't taken her pills. So while some have doubts about what she says she saw, others say they believe her.The standard of journalism exibited here is exceptional.Resident Allison Smith says, "That would be cool though. Hopefully that's the case that she did see him because that makes it exciting.""Round here, life is so grim; the advent of our town being infested with bloodsucking, sentient human-corpses could only make things better. Especially if they sparkle".
Vampirewebsite.net specifically lists Grand Junction as a vampire-friendly city. It’s one of just 20 in the whole country, and the only one in Colorado.Naming your website so that it comes first in a Google search for a website about vampires doesn't really qualify them as a knowledgeable source; especially as Google displays results based on other criteria.Young Jesse Graves has her own theory about vampires in the Valley. "I think there is a vampire in Grand Junction, his name is Glen Mills."[b]I don't know who Glen Mills is... hopefully not just some random old guy that the villagers are thinking of staking.
The lulz from idiocy in this "news" story were the best thing about it.

I think seeing people go retarded over stuff like this is funny, like Wolfie Blackheart and all the other people that think they are werewolves...But I guess it's kind of believeable.... after all I'm a jackalope.

maybe she saw an albino person? Often they're only able to be out at night because they get badly sunburnt very easily.

eskimos ARE a real race. They're not always called by that name, but they exist.

I'm a little disappointed that you two seem to honestly believe I'm that ignorant. I guess my sarcasm isn't obvious enough. I'll have to work on that in the future.

You have to remember that sarcasm can only be implemented and established with facial and verbal cues and as such, is impossible to emulate in text.
I am grateful to hear that you were only joking about albinos because I was prepared to give a full-on lecture about them! :)

This ain't true. Sarcasm is easily established for people who either understand you or aren't ridiculously gullible. To claim otherwise is just a cop out.

I think this is the vampire that caused her to drive into the ditchhttp://www.drinksmixer.com/drink628.html

Vampires may exist, we just haven't found one yet. I think this woman might be onto something.

If the vampire made her drive into a ditch she would be dead, vampires leave no witnesses and I doubt he/she would have just left a tasty snack like her alone.

I really do hope that the woman driving is a hot-18 to 30 year old. If she was a 40+ aged woman, then that vampire must be crazy or desperate.

They were actually making a sarcasm mark for literature... Idk if it's still being worked on but I saw a thing about it.
