Your term on "real hack n slash" is wrong, the real hack n slash originated in isometric games similar to diablo.
What you are looking for is third person hns games, not "real" Hack n slash, there is not real "HnS", the real hack n slash in my eyes is games similar to diablo. pretty much.I know alot of single player games similar to what you want, if you are intrested

Doesn't every grind MMORPG is already like that?
Just go grind on a low lvl map, use some AoE skills.... there.Hack'slash MMO is something that (IMO):
* isn't point and click
* spam a lot of buttons, usually one or two to do different combos
* A lot of skills that can, or not, be used together
* Has some movement skills (dashes, jumps, gliding. Of course usefull stuff and not for only traveling)
and the most important
* PvP isn't the 12-years-old kid with higher credit card or levels winning everything.

Vindictus roughly falls into that category. Though, there's also a mage character if you want.

Vindictus is a pretty sweet hack n slash from what little i've played and seen. Diablo 1 and 2 are easily some of the cornerstones of hack n slash although I didn't feel the same about diablo 3. 90% of games nowadays are the same diluted hit the next button when your cooldown is up like wow. If anyone finds something so epic you have to pee yourself over let me know lol.

There's also Raiderz, and Tera which is free now.
