Im gonna be the first to say this...

So the main site states:
"RomUlation is going to be migrating servers soon! This means in the near future you might try to visit our site and not be able to reach it, we will be back online shortly after that but it will take a few hours at a minimum."
i was just wondering, will all our memories (topics) be gone or is this just a site update (obviously server related)
what do you guys mean by migrating?

it means shutting the servers down, moving them somewhere else and plugging them back in.

oooooooooh....thanks :P

Loonylion · #2it means shutting the servers down, moving them somewhere else and plugging them back in.

Are they getting transported in an armoured vehicle.

may as well be, patton drives a tank.

And is Seph lording it up and leaving you with the grief.I hope he's paying you time and a half LOL

zero multiplied by anything is still zero.

Loonylion · #5may as well be, patton drives a tank.

so, how is patton? its been a while, and there is no update about him.

he's a very busy guy. He's more or less at the top of his field and thus always in demand.

But still, Patton is in charge of migrating servers in the US side, right?
Or is this server migration just for the European one?
Or am I talking about something else, cause I thought there was 2 servers, US and European.
Care to explain? Thanks in advance.

Yes hes in charge of US servers. We got rid of the European server months ago.

Ah! Thanks for clarifying it.
So Patton is now like the big boss here, that if he got pissed off, he can shut off RomU?Well, anyways, thanks to Patton for keeping the job.

No, Seph is paying him to provide a service. If he fails to provide that service he is in breach of contract.

[color=purple][b]Btw will there be new shiny features? If so, which? Will the site look different? Will we have ice cream? Can I have some money to buy a cola?

nothing is changing at this point.

I saw the new tab at downloads.I think this is gonna be very nice when the new site's up.By now I just gotta say thanks for the service you provided us all the way down until the ESA came up :)

Better late than never, welcome back RomUlation :)
