Actually, heat does affect the quality of your semen, it probably won't make you completely sterile but it may reduce your virility over time. This goes for any kind of heat in your groin area, though.

Now you mention it, I do recall someone on TV once trying for a baby but having no luck and standing outside in the cold to help.
