I've used Ad-Aware for years and it does a good job. Especially in my case with fam/friends that have major lag due to spyware.About a year ago my girlfriends bro was having lag issues and he likes to download porn and such so I insalled it and ran a scan.No joke the software found over 2,000 malicious items.Works good for "Spyware," only.AVG is awesome as well, me and a couple of friends downloaded a bunch of viruses on purpose hid them in the most random places and ran a few AV programs.We ran norton first and a couple others, then ran AVG free last.AVG found the most.
