Before that cheapshot fight, *The fight where he attacks from behind) Turn your party the other way around, that way he can't take advantage of you.

I died on the ending boss in FF3 ds and FF4 psI thought Scarmiglione was one of the easy bosses...I guess chalk one up for power-leveling (Fire spells are nice as well!)
