I cant get any Action Replay Cheats to work

I have Pokemon white (E) with a Desume emulator and i cant get any of the Action Replay codes to work. Can you please help me ?? thankshttp://www.mediafire.com/?bwmfowx99dxgn4r ( this is the ROM I'm using )emulator version is 0.9.7 x64 mvsc 1500

If you use a code to gain a new pokemon, there must already be a pokemon in that slot.I couldn't figure out either, but you need to press QW (L+Y on a DS) for the codes to activate.Hope it works!
