How to make Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time save in DS.

Excuse me, I'm using Nintendo DS and the R4Ultra NDS card. However, whenever I tried to save my progress in Mario & Luigi: Partnerss in Time, the saving screen kept saiding that it is still saving even after few minutes! What should I do to fix this problem?
