How to hack Pokemon game AND MAKE IT LOAD?

I already know how to use hacking tools and all that trash. My problem is that I can't make the patched ROM load on either VBA or No$GBA. Any help for this?If it matters, I planned to hack FireRed, LeafGreen, Sapphire, and Emerald.
