How PS3 Games installation works?

jlm264Well what they do is install the game to reduce loading time, install trophies( some have trophies but dont install), and make the game funner to play. You still need the disk because it only installs important or key features of the game into your ps3. Some games even make it optional if you want to install them. This means the maker of the game feels that it runs fast with minor loading but could go faster. Finally installing the game doesnt completely get rid of loading it just makes it alot faster and might make the game look smoother.

The games don't look any smother, for the optional installs it's only for load times, required ones are because of the sheer size and insane load times that would be without (plus trophies).
