Hotel Dusk 2: For the DS confirmed
According to Game informer, CiNG is getting ready to promote a sequel to Court-Records.net cult favorite Hotel Dusk: Room 215. The new title is called Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku (Last Window: Midnight Promise) and takes place in 1980's Los Angeles. The title is rumored for a Q1 release in Japan on January 14th.If you've missed Court-Records excitement in the past over Hotel Dusk, I invite you to take a look at the WHAT A!? section of CR. You'll find a lot of good fun stuff there. If you're looking to play more CiNG games, you may want to try Hotel Dusk or Trace Memory (Another Code: Two Memories to our European friends) on the DS. And our European friends were lucky enough to get Another Code: R - Gateway of Memories for the Wii. The gameplay is 'very' inspired by Hotel Dusk in the latter title.

More Details about Hotel Dusk's Sequel- similar visual/audio style to the first game
- takes place a year after the first title, in 1980 Los Angeles
- the main setting is the Cape West Apartments
- the story stands alone, but will also present some connections that fans of the original can enjoy
- main character is once again Kyle, and he's still a bit of a jerk
- new 'ignore' feature for when you're trying to sift through conversations, and don't think a particular portion is worth butting into to find out details and progress the story
- their is a novel inside the game called 'Last Window'
- every time you clear a game chapter, you open a new chapter in the Last Window book
- the novel will help flesh out the story, and the over-arching world that Kyle is in
- novel contents are actually influenced by how you play the game, leading to multiple variations
- rumble cart support
- 3 save slots
Multiple variations sounds good :]

Nice find usoppu! Although I don't usually like multiple variations (I don't like playing through a game more than once) but it's sounds exciting this time. :)
By the way, below this post on
Court Records is a
flash demo of Ace Attorney Investigations. Gotta try this. ;D
A
i have finished AAI flash demo. . .pretty good!!
@koyuchan: haha this is not a movie, the first game is here if you want to play:

I wouldn’t mind replaying the game (not right away of course) for different outcomes, I didn’t really like the way you automatically got game over as a consequence for behaving like an ass in certain situations lol, anything that makes a game less linear is a good thing imo.

You're not allowed to share download links, linking to the page is fine

;D I love when eccentric games like this get sequels. Now, let's hope it's getting an English translation.
K
Oh I thought they will make the movie :P
Oh so this is a game like Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory? I've been waiting for that kinda game..~
yay.!!
Hope it won't have pirate check or something that make me can't play the game :P

Wut, why exactly?
So I take it you’re not interested in the sequel.
C
omg it's on wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotel_Dusk:_Room_215hmm anyway i was wondering what happened to kyle, mila and jenny too, but...
U
btw
the story stands alone, but will also present some connections that fans of the original can enjoy
so I think its unlikely you'll find out much about Mila & Jenny.

This was my first real game that I played. Saw it in a store and then went home and checked out the reviews. I had no idea these games existed, adventure point and click games for adults on the DS. There are so many of them, I had to download them all.The best line is when Kyle looks inside his suitcase and when you click on his socks, he says "These are my socks, gotta wash them", I was laughing all by myself, couldn't stop. Thanks for posting this, can't wait to play the sequel.
