HOLY MOLEY! Lego Racers (PS1) is harder than I thought...

:o The first tourney is easy enough, but the second is hard as man! ??? The guy keeps coming back in front!NOTE: I'm trying to do this properly, no PEC.Any ideas on how to win? Thanks
