Hitachi hard disk giving smart error for no reason

Ever since a week ago my newer hdd has been randomly dissapearing from my pc window, the problem was easy to fix by un plugging it and re plugging it. Today it happened again.however now the BIOS and hard disk sentinel are telling me that the hard drive is dead, which shouldnt happen as this hdd is a month old, its urgent as that hdd is storing information related to my own job.The hard drive is a HITACHI DESKSTAR. Any idea if its windows being an ass or it really died in less than a month, hard disk drive regenerator shows 0 bad sectors damaged.Says capable and status bad, smart bad. If that is not what you are referring to how do i check?Hard disk sentinel points it has errors on the spinning (i'll post a pic soon, copying some important file just in case) Also can something stop the spinning of the drive? I dont have the metal bits to artifically create an expansion bay of sorts (because my tower came with no expansion bays) so I am using isolating tape to make the hdd be somewhat stable.Using the health fitness program of HITACHI on quick test the drive is healthy.

smart can be wrong, also hard disks can die within a month, though it shouldnt. I'd send it back to hitachi for a replacement

No idea if we can send it back, we ordered it via amazon. And how do I check if SMART is wrong?
