High-Strung Ultra-Nationalist Pussies

You know how sometimes, you just feel like day-dreaming out loud about how you wish certain things in the country you reside in could change for the better? How you nitpick certain things about your country that you're not so fond of, like how:[*]The location of a golfer's (reproductive) balls takes precedence in the news over a war the damn country is involved in
[*]The Holocaust is considered more child-friendly than the fact that they have reproductive organs
[*]The pubic education system is in shambles
[*]The public education system is in shambles
[*]Teachers are never vetted so most of them are Narcissistic dickheads who should never be allowed anywhere near children
[*]The public education system is in shambles
[*]Most social workers are Narcissistic dickheads who should never be allowed anywhere near children
[*]It's illegal for minors to receive a paycheck as being paid apparently constitutes as child abuse
[*]Many parents are Narcissistic dickheads who should never be allowed anywhere near children
[*]Though he is disbarred, Jack Thompson somehow passed his bar examination
After pointing any of these out, all of a sudden someone calls you evil and anti-whatever-state-you-live-in (in my case America), orders you to leave the country, and wishes you to burn in hell. This can be really funny sometimes, but other times it's just tiring and annoying, if not fucking depressing. Aside from citizenship, what characterises something as "American" anyway? Gigantic restaurant portions? Being obese? Living in a small, rural town (Sarah Palin said it, not me)? What about people of aboriginal American ancestry?I'm not against a unifying, collective identity that one can be proud of. I myself am all for finding reasons humanity should not be utterly obliterated. I like to fantasise about leaders who are intelligent, compassionate, competent, and charismatic; leaders that can rally fucking lampreys to work for a better future for everyone. Great, fantastic nations whose people take after their leaders. A league of nations that everyone is a part of. A world where people shit rainbows! I'm all for that, I really am, and I'm going to stop there before people start getting the idea that I'm a Communist cocksucker and general society finds yet another reason to lynch me and call me a cockroach. It's just that high-strung ultra-nationalist pussies are really annoying sometimes.

I think its the work that constitutes child abuse, or more accurately 'child exploitation', not the receiving of a paycheck.

I suppose that's more precise, but still, I don't see how operating a cash register violates the Geneva Conventions.

it doesnt, the geneva convention applies to prisoners of war...

Sadly, most of the problems that you've listed are mirrored across most countries.

Yes and yes.

The fact that these people are stupid and closed-minded combined with the fact that they're lazy leads them to attack ideas that don't appeal to them (or that they just don't understand). They try to assert their believed superiority over people whom disagree with them by trying to make out that that person is an outcast who isn't worthy to be in the same default social group as themselves due to the apparent fact that they don't support what their grey minds consider to be the foundations it is built on. These people are so scared of being alienated themselves that they back into their own little world where any opinion put forward that doesn't comply with their own ideology has to be crushed in case that the balance shifts and they become the ones that have their views dismissed and ridiculed.
When someone confronts them with a valid point, they either ignore it or, more likely, try to devalue it by placing a negative stereotype upon that person which makes it so that (in their eyes) their points lose worth; regardless of how well made those points were or are, or how true. These idiots usually seek out more people like themselves so that they can further delude themselves that they are in the right. These people are lowlives whom propagate their views through trying to demean those that are different to themselves by pushing with the outspoken and poorly-reasoned voices of those who are the same, the fact that you have more common sense than all of these idiots put together and yet aren't old enough to legally work a cash register yet are things that you should be very proud of.
MessoMesso · #1Aside from citizenship, what characterises something as "American" anyway? Gigantic restaurant portions? Being obese?
It may seem like the inane are in the majority, but that's only because their ill-gotten righteousness propels them to shout over those that speak sense in a polite voice and with logic.
You're not alone Messo Messo, their are plenty of Americans that feel the same as you (and who are capable of thinking levelly and put their views across with the dignity that ultra-nationalist bigots can't even comprehend); it's just that these people make points in a more decorous manner than telling someone to get out of a country that they believe they have the inherent right to run or wave banners in the street telling gays to burn in hell or whatever.
The opinions of ultra-nationalists are often more worthless and wrong than the people that they set themselves against, but taking each one individually and making an informed decision instead of stooping to their levels makes you better than them.

Live in a "3rd world" country like I do, then you know better where you'll find High-Strung Ultra-Nationalist Pussies like you mentioned. For some "strange" reasons, some humans beings think they're better then other human beings just because they do have better life conditions and other stuff. Go figure. Also, this happens everywhere, even in "3rd world" countries.

Funny thing, I actually spent the first few years of my childhood in a third world country.

All is good Messo, you are awake; people will find you.
Some will find you still cling on to your childhood, and treat you as stupid, which is correct.
Some will help you exorcise this, and if you agree, then you will die. You are dead anyway so no worries.
Your new life awaits, and it is terrible and horrible and beautiful and awesome. You are most welcome to being a person, you just need to jump a little hurdle and get over yourself. There was you thinking you just needed opinion. Get real.(Cute rant BTW.)

I thought that by going to college and getting a degree would help separate myself from the ignorant masses of people who are exactly what you described, in a nutshell, ignorant. However, I found out that the ignorance stretches beyond college because I've found out that the majority of my peers are misinformed of our current situation of the economy. They have no idea what's going on, how to fix it, or even how to go about fixing it. These are the people of tomorrow, the next generation that will have to fix these issues when the time comes. And when that time comes, they will not know where to begin.Ironically, I wish that people/politicians would have a more nationalistic view, in the sense that their own nation comes first over others. Tell me, what exactly is the point of aiding other countries while the U.S. is in shambles? What good does it do to help others when you cannot even help yourself? Yes, the ignorance stretches this far as to say that the U.S. has a ton of money. The truth is, we do, but we do not. We have a lot of money, but we also have a shitload of debt that cannot be ignored. Why exactly are we giving away this money when we have trillions of dollars in debt?

The most important skill for a single person to have in bettering ones nation is a critical eye. I don't mean in the way of being overly conservative and say "Naah, I don't think that's a good idea" at everything but rather to really care for what your government does. If it does right you should applaud it, if not you should be as criticizing as something of your choosing(to tired to think of something). In a sens a nationalist is something bad, because their country could never go wrong. If it is, well we do have some emigrants here, lets blame them.
I have noticed a trend especially for Americans tho, when something that every western industrial country has and that works and puts our living standard far above that of USA its a commy plot that's nothing but evil and designed to take the money out of the poor millionaires pokers. But they still fail to realize there are things being done by a socialist model already, fire department and police, they aren't bad things are they?"Yes, the ignorance stretches this far as to say that the U.S. has a ton of money. The truth is, we do, but we do not. We have a lot of money, but we also have a shitload of debt that cannot be ignored. Why exactly are we giving away this money when we have trillions of dollars in debt?"Just had to address that, one trillion dollars is your army's yearly founds, most of it going to development of new gear/machinery etc, and that's not counting the cost of Iraq and Afghanistan, that is another few millions a day. Cutting back on whats not needed would most likely get you out of dept in a matter of decades rather then eons. Then again what do I know, I'm just a socialist and we sit around and eat babies plotting our invasion(excuse me if you don't find this funny but I find the ignorance of sum really funny so this always get added in any debate where USA is mentioned xD).

Just have to say that Fire departments and Police departments are seriously underfunded and because of a shitty system on how they collect taxes and then partition those taxes to programs such as these, they end up making more cuts than necessary, forcing the Fire/Police departments to not only be trained in their respective fields, but also be trained as an EMT, or the opposing field. It is not uncommon to see a fireman also have EMT training or a police officer also be a fireman.I don't like this system because if other programs shift towards this type, then we will suffer the consequences of having not just two programs that are underfunded, but several programs that are underfunded. We only have so much tax revenue to spread around. Adding more "socialist" programs will either decrease the amount of money allotted to existing programs, or increase taxation, which in a time like this is not a good course of action. People are just getting by and increasing taxes will put an even bigger strain on making ends meet. Imagine paying $400 on some extra bullshit tax when you have $0.Exactly what programs would you like to be socialized? Aside from medical, what else is there? I would much rather have these things privatized because that lessens the strain on public spending. That money can be used elsewhere (ahem, debt) and instead of these programs spending MY money on shit, these "businesses" can spend their OWN money on their expenses like any other business does.
