HELP ME PLEASE! COMPUTER DETECTS TROJAN IN ROM SECTIONS!!!

my security system detects a trojan on the rom page (nds is all i go into...)
so i cant access any of it!
anyone else see the trojan? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? :-[

I've never had this problem, and I highly doubt there would be a trojan on the site. What virus program are you using?

It says...Threat Type: "Virus"
Threat Name: "clm.Trojan.Downloader-2388"

probably thinks there's a trojan hidden in the .nfo file. open (don't unzip) teh zip file and see if you can delete it (or you can be a little more adventurous and just go and unzip the file, enjoy your ds title and run a virus scan after)

There are no viruses in any of our files. The only thing that could cause this is a rogue advertiser breaking the terms of their agreement with the ad agency.

I know there are no viruses because this is...was...my main site for roms until this happened.

gam3r: Every site can be the victim of a rouge advertiser who break the rules, we can't prevent it really, besides from removing ads...I even had something like this happen on a big site like imagevenue, except that was a javascript redirect to a spyware site.

hmm i dont get that, i only get the unlimited pop ups, now my google pop up blockers is 738 wich is like 100 - 200 more then it was last month

I use Firefox and a decent ad-blocker and I don't get any ads on the site. No pop-ups or text-links. I wont tell you what the ad-blocker is, I'm not sure what Seph's deal is with the ad agency - it could lose him money. No pop-ups = no trojan warnings :)

fair enough, ill try an ad blocker in firefox first, otherwise ill have to find somewhere else to get my roms :(
it completely prevents me from visiting any rom pages,

Do you have Norton Antivirus?also tell us which ad is loaded when it happens.

i cant actually see anything of the page, my anti virus says

never mind, i found another site that i can get some off, just not as many roms and not frequently updated... thanks for the help

sounds like you have a shit AV then; it shouldn't stop you viewing the page

nah, it is only because it detects a trojan that it completely stops the page, normally if it is a blocked ad it will just remove that ad

gam3r please try one last time, I removed all ads for you so that I can verify that it is indeed our ads.

Regardless, it should not stop you viewing it. The most it should do is warn you. Anything more than that is too pervasive as it negatively affects your ability to carry out your intended task
