I read the article on Engadget or Gizmodo on how to Hackintosh a Dell mini 9. I bought one and i got everything to do it but I am not sure if I can do it because I have a Dell mini 9 with Ubuntu. Has anyone tried it? Also does installing the new OS X delete everything i had on it before?

yes, it will format the disk with a different filesystem, therefore existing data will be destroyed.

The MyDellMini site is the best site for all the info. Try here http://mydellmini.com/forum/faqs-and-how-to%CA%B9s-f55.html for complete instructions. You will need to have at least the 16Gb drive. I have had OSX installed on my mini9 for months and it rocks!! Everything works, but you will only have less than 2Gb disk space left after install.
