foo fighters times like these acoustic

The Take Over, The Break's Over - Fall Out Boy.It's a fun song.or....The Light and the Glass - Coheed and Cambria.Pretty Complex.

How about...
Canon? If you haven't, I'm sure both Rock and Acoustic version will interest you.

Down by the sally garden. It's quite a nice soothing piece.

DO GUITAR IMPROV DO IT. It's fun, or you could start writing your own songs, that's even better. No Rain by The Blind Melons is something I play on a daily basis. Or anything by The Grateful Dead.

Learn the basic Power Chords, the basic transpositions, and Scaling. That's a pretty fun in it's self. And then once you've done that, try playing around with them. You can write pieces of your own with just that!

I rather cover the songs.Rise against is a good one.
They also have some acoustic versions.

i watch people on youtube and try an copy what their playing. tabs dont do it for me.

Rise against seconded. Swing life away and everchanging acoustic are awesome. How bout cross my heart acoustic by marianas trench is my favorite acoustic song =PI'm just starting to learn how to play guitar xD finding time to get my cousin to teach me how to play chords =P

Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix (Drop D on this one, I think)
Enter Sandman - Metallica
(like Meganova said) Canon in D Major - Johann Pachelbel (You'll need to go Drop D for this as well)

Whenever I want a tab, but don't know what to play, I usually go to the 'Popular/Suggested Tabs' section of the tab site I visit. You'll find some good stuff in there.

Playing Bass tabs for songs don't exactly sound great on their own.

I think some songs do (RUSH).Also trying to translate songs from guitar to bass (like the same tabs) is fun. Sweater Song by Weezer is my favorite.

thats why i play along to the song on my ipod :)

Find a Guitarist that motivates you and learn some of there songs. Like the other day i Was like, "Damn. . .Dime is the $%^!" and i just had to learn "Cowboys from Hell" Learn what you love dont let others tell you what to learn

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica?fingerstyle is different and fun (assuming you mostly play with a pick)
