Thankyou for your help, arm 7 & 9 replacement worked perfectly!

where would i get arm7 - arm9 from as i am new to this. "thank you for your help it is appreciated"

It's ok, not everyone knows. On that thread, there's a hypertext that says "ARM files that fixes it for some flashcarts like R4". Click it and download the files. Then google "DSLazy" and download that. Open DSLazy and click "unpack" and unpack the GTA Chinatown wars ROM. Go to the folder where you unpacked it and replace the ARM7 and ARM9 files inside of that folder with the ones you downloaded from the "ARM files that fixes it for some flashcarts like R4" link. Go back to DSLazy and click "Package" or "Repack" or something like that and repack the folder into a ROM. Then play the rom! :D
