bear in mined that fraps only works on software thats using direct3d, so it wont be able to record something like MS word.

Yea fraps is a good video recorder.
Depends on what your computer specs are aswell.

It's good if you have a really powerful computer.

Depending on how smoothly Minecraft runs (ie: if it's laggy), it will either be excellent, or Minecraft is going to move so horribly, it won't be worth it.
