Here is my advice. They are too young to start gaming, when they can read, then give them something like pokemon, reason being (if you believe the newspapers) some psycological effects can result, or like as I seen with my brother...He's become dependant on playing games to actually have fun in normal acivities, like his older brother before him (me).At least if they can read, more gaming choices/the ability to discern what is real and what is not, and a few other things.

Kids that age should be playing stuff like that V-Tech which hooks up to a tv.

Their not too young. I let my nephew when he was 2-3 play video games with me. He's seven now and he's as addicted to video gaming as me...Okay maybe that part isn't so great when I get yelled at. xDThen there's my youngest nephew who IS two right now. He likes playing games with me too, he can't do much on his own but he enjoys holding the game controller and sitting in my lap.Is there an particular system?

Tag, hide and seek, peek-a-boo if they are still in that laughing stage.Generally I recommend ball toss as well, with light, soft balls to encourage sports and health.

Depends on the platforms they have access to. If they don't have access to any on the consoles/handhelds then the games that plug in to the tv are a good way to go.
