Final Fantasy XIII

Hey, guys! :D
I would like to know what the new FF battle system's like please!
Is it turn-based? Time-based? Does battles happen random? Do you chose to fight people?
Thanks guys :D(Quite frankly, I'm lazy; That's the main reason I'm not searching this myself :D)

By the trailers, it seems to be a turn based system, probably ATB. Special commands like in KH during battle, I believe.
It looks like you can see the enemies on your screen and avoid/encounter them as you wish.The Japanese version is out, maybe someone who has played can say yes or no.

Its battle system is the same with Crisis Core......When will it be out in USA?

I saw the Japanese bundle for it a while back, and saw players playing it. It's similar to the previous FF games for the PS2 and such, where you have the bar charging leading up to your turn. While you do this though, you can freely (from my time watching it) move around and it affects your/enemy accuracy, how you attack and how much damage you take when enemies attack. There are also cool special moves and stuff but I dunno how it works.And no, it's not the same as XII.
