Fake DS lites.

If Chinese companies can make fake DSs that work like the real thing, can they not improve on the design and take a shot at nintendo?it seems to me that modifications like screen size would be a breeze, perhaps even a smaller device to take on the DSi XL.im sure many have you have seen the 'real' 3DS pics that depict both screens of DS games being displayed on a single larger screen that combines the views seamlessly- A possibility?Thoughts?

no rumor, in fact there were several news articles in the Uk and Australia about it. If you google it you can find them pretty quick. theres some videos on youtube about how to tell if your ds is fake or real too.

its not simple to change the screen size... additionally fakes may not be completely compatible or as reliable as originals.

Could you post said links?Mostly the news articles, a few people of limted bandwidth can't view vids...Also I'm going to bed and will come back later to read, it'll be like my morning paper :)

So how do you tell if it is a fake? Navy Blue?Most bought in shops, eg. EB Games, are real?Do they work the same?

EB, GAME, other large company game stores all have legit DS'
If you buy it from MYER or DAVID JONES it's still original.

if you are getting a verrry good deal, (half price or something), chances are there is something wrong with it. Look out for ebay sellers from china that are selling shady looking DSs, chances are they are fake. Also look out for unreleased colors, or rare versions that are often pirated (nintendogs best friends bundle DS). often the ds comes with a shady charger, or a separate charger.
