I here by qoute my self....and i did some modification base on my last topic that have been deleted by the rolll back
calvin_0well i finally gotten a PSP and time for me to do a comparasion.....PSP
The Good
- Great Graphic and Great 3D
- Great Sound system
- Come with build in Web broswer, Video and Music system
- Chargeable with USB 2.0
- Alot of game that is targeted for teenager and older gamers
- Auto Sleep mode when batteries is low
- Contant mangement is easy with the USB cable
- No Official Cheating devices (only hacked cheating devices)The Bad
- Short battery life, (around 3 hours ++ with everything max and none stop playing)
- Game are too long \ too action packed to be portable games, they are more suitable to be a console games
- Web broswer, Video and Music system is not suitable to be include with gaming system
- Charging with USB 1.0 arent really charging, they are more like a life support to keep the PSP alive
- Hacking PSP arent for everyone, only those who know what they are doing able to hack PSP
- Loading UMD is quite long, the loading take around 10-20 sec to completed.
- ISO and CSO of PSP game are very large, so its not wise to download the game.NDS
The Good
- Long battery life (around 5-6 hours with everything max, upto 8 hours if you play it at the minimum settings and no volume)
- Alot of game that is make for fun, keeping you busy while waiting for buses or train
- Touch screen and mic added human interaction
- Easy to hack, just need a compatible flash card like R4DS, and a micro SD
- Quick loading time, the most it will take around 3-4 sec to load a game in the original cart, 5-6 sec in flash card
- Game are cheap, just download it from the internet
- ROM size is small, so you have have alot of game in a 2Gb microSDThe Bad
- Touch screen and mic arent pratical if you are travelling alot, you may poke the touch screen while walking and i dont think you would use the mic in the public area
- Bad 3D, 2D is o.k.
- Bad sound system, most of the time, you will need a head phone if you want to enjoy the game.
- Alot of play once then forget it games
- Majority of the game are build around "fans" (like Mario, Pokemon and Zelda)
- Not much mature theme games
- Alot of official cheating devices like Action Replay or Code breaker DS.
- Content managment is a pain, you need a MicroSD reader to do it.Comments: its up to you to decided which console that you perfer but there is no "better" gaming system if you taken count the good and the bad of both console, the "this is better then that" is only fanboy opinion and no one will listen to fanboy opinion.
NO FANBOY \ FANGIRL OPINIONS IS ALLOW

I have played on a NDS (my little brother had one with Spyro) it wasn't too bad to play.I have a PSP using custom firmware 3.9 M33 + 1.50 Kernel add on ever since I installed custom firmware my PSP seems more useful.

NDS is more attractigve to young people and families.
PSP is more for the 'Gamers' who like good graphics and good ...(With a lack of another word) movement. So i can't discuss this really, there are separate markets for each.Anyway, that's what I think. :D

the PSP is just a toned down version of the BEST consoles out there. in other word weaker replicas. PS2/PS3 anyone? the only reason id bring my psp with me is that it is portable. But I NEVER PLAY WIH MY PSP AT HOME. i have a PS2, a PC and a NDSLite. i'm still having a debate with my self whether to get Wii, PS3 or both since money is so hard to come by these days.the NDS is on a different level on its own. TOUCH SCREEN? no other console or gaming system for that matter had touch based games. there is one new world redefined by this touch screen system... GAMEPLAY. a real gamer would WANT to go to this new world. i've been there. and every moment spent was good. very good... looking forward to seeing new touch screen consoles. the Wii is also a really nifty package provided by nintendo...

there was a handheld that had touch screen, gamecom.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game.comif it doesnt work, go to wiki and type in gamecom to get your search.i have a bigger appreciation for the ds because it has limitations and there are games that go beyond the limitations of the ds due to the hard work from the developers. zelda, dementium, cod 4, brothers in arms, and the new assassins creed game shows a lot of great work from the developers.

well you dont see PDA have the same capacity as a PC...do you? next time think before you post because you cant compare PSP with a PS because they are not the same things.

you never been there....you are not even close, sure touch screen is nice for a while, but it get old, not to mention you risk poking your touch screen (like i mention above) while travelling...so killing the idea of having it in the 1st place....and touch screen like DS or motion sensor like Wiimote is NOTHING NEW, go to any arcade you will find some machine that use those thing there....

I think both consoles have their own strong point. PSP has its powerful hardware, however there are too many action games on it, not many for fun, killing time as it supposed to have as a Portable gaming device, it is, like Tboi have said, aimed toward hardcore gamers. Many of my friends bought it for enjoying Video and Music as the main reason, i hope there would be more quality RPG and Puzzle games such as Puzzle Quest. And the NDS, with its interactive gameplay which bring much more fun time for everyone of all ages, there are a lot of unique games that could even satisfy both hardcore and casual gamers. But with the lack of a strong hardware, NDS can't provide good quality graphic as the PSP could do, the touch screen is good idea but with that quality, can NDS owners enjoy Video and Music with its? And without some memories management or PC connection like PSP, its potential has been tied to gaming only.@jlbebit: man, is it a little bit of fanboy's opinions? :-\@calvin_0: i love cat gals, too :P

DS and PSP are no different, they are just brothers in the gaming world, they are good in some stuff, and better in others

the ds isn't powerful enough to actually be an n64 (the gba was essentially a snes), and its 3d isn't up to scratch a lot of the time. there arn't enough n64 ports, which is something i actually wanted and its screen resolution also doesn't do it any justice, 3d would look smoother with a high resolution screen and a better graphics processor. and the lack of gameboy support is a real killer for me. and the silver ds lite doesn't seem as tough as the black one, which is kinda sad.it's also a fingerprint magnet (the dark colour lites)but i still love it.

I prefer the PSP Slim as I can put pretty much whatever I want on it. Right now, with my custom firmware, I have GB/GBC/GBA/SNES/Mega Drive(Genesis)/PS1/PSP/Homebrew games on it. And I can listen to music and watch movies if I want. The DS has some great games, and I used to prefer it, but then I got my PSP and it's just better.Could do with a better screen though. I got a dead pixel a week after getting it and 3 months later it's fairly beaten despite me taking really good care of it.

i never really appreciated hand helds, though you can't count em out.wasn't the ds just a side project only released because of the psp ? is the gb evolution still in progress ?my 7 and 3 yr old each have a ds lite... so for the durability... they both are still like brand new. i mean these things get dropped, thrown, stepped on, and
just absolutely abused in every way .if it wasn't my girls i would have never seen nintendo after the 64

Also if you hack a psp it could get bricked that happened to mine also in ds games the touch screen is unique it adds more interaction and it has great franchises and besides there's alot of shooters on the psp i like shooters but shooting and killing gets old after a while and on ds and ds lite it has backwards compatability for me i like the ds better
