External Hard Drive Tester

Could somebody please tell me if there's a piece of software that'll tell you if your external hard drive is on its last legs or not?

Hard drive Sentinel does a good job at it, it reports the status of your drives (health), temperature, etc. and more if you gett he pro version (but the free is pretty much all you need)
